Honestly...

Honestly, I have had a hard time being a mommy this week. Sick baby, absolutely no sleep, crying baby during the day who needs all my attention because he doesn't want to be put down, hardly any naps so not much free time, cooped up in the house every day and every night, you know just one of those weeks that you have to pray for strength and patience every day. Yesterday little punkin was in a good mood for about 30 minutes, probably because Tylenol had been in his system for about 45 minutes so he was feeling better. I had so much fun with him taking pictures and letting him roll around naked on this furry soft blanket he loves. It reminded me how worth it these hard days are. The gift of being Sawyer's mom far outweighs not getting sleep or being frustrated. This little guy makes any LOOONNNGG day so worth it! Just look at this cutie??!! Oh and we prayed really hard last night for S to sleep and Thank the Lord, he slept from 8 until 7!! I truly feel like a new woman!!

Poor fella!!

So we went to the doctor today for his 4 month check up and found out what has been waking up my little man at night! He has a viral infection! Ulcers all over his throat! I seriously started crying when my doctor told me; I feel so bad that I didn't catch it! Sweet boy was not that fussy during the day and he never had a fever so I never thought he was sick. There is nothing we can do besides tylenol every 4-5 hours so we are loving on him extra tonight! I am going to rock him so tight tonight when he wakes up in the middle of the night.

On another note... he is for sure a growing boy.. Here are his stats!
17 lbs 3 oz (90th percentile)
26.5 inches (75th percentile)
head 50th percentile

Big ole sweet Henry Boy! My mother in law looked up all the Henry boys stats today and my brother in law Greg who is the tallest skinniest of them all weighed exactly 17 lbs 3 oz at his 4 month check up! So crazy!! So there is hope for Sawyer to be skinny one day... kind of kidding!

Updates!!

Hello again! Obviously I have been taking a break from blogging simply because other things have taken priority. I can't believe how fast this summer has gone and how fast Sawyer is growing up. Sawyer has changed so much and we are loving every day with him even more. Life has been crazy so here is a sum up whats been going on...

Sawyer...
Baby boy is over 4 months old!! So hard to believe!! His personality is truly so dear. He is still snuggly, laid back and becoming a mama's boy more every day. So far he is still acting like he is shy; We had a big party at our house this weekend and company staying with us, including my best friend's 6 month old boy and of course Sawyer was quiet and reserved the entire time. He won't show his personality to just anyone.... He is officially teething which means something is in his mouth all the time and drool is pouring out constantly. The boy is such a chunk!! He weighs around 17 pounds and has rolls taking over his body. He hasn't quite grown into his cheeks yet and it makes him that much more kissable. His favorite things right now are his exersaucer, bouncy seat, praise baby, Jason Mraz's"I'm Yours" (he quiets down as soon as that song comes on... life saver in the car!), play mat, and of course still loves bath time. He doesn't mind the car anymore which is so nice. His sleeping habits are going through a phase that I'm hoping is short lived. He was sleeping through the night since he was 7 weeks old but about 2 weeks ago, 3-4 nights a week he has been waking up in the middle of the night crying... I think its his teeth but who really knows. Definately frustrating. He's rolling from tummy to back occasionally but only does it for mommy, Andrew has yet to see it. Overall, Sawyer is still so easy and such a sweet baby, Andrew and I continue to feel so lucky every day.

Happenings....
Lets see.. we have been to Little Rock probably 3 times. Been to weddings. Celebrated our 4 year anniversary! Had family in town, had friends in town. We threw a huge party for Lyla Blagg this last weekend for over 40 people. I said goodbye to a good friend that moved away :(. We have seen grandparents, greatgrandparents, aunts and uncles. I started working from home a few hours a week. We spent our first night away from Sawyer for our anniversary. We had our first family sickness with a baby... no fun! All in all we have had some really fun days and nights! Im definately getting a little sad that this summer is wrapping up but excited because we have so many fun things coming up in the fall.

Here is what's been going on in pictures

Getting so big!

Jack Kella came to stay! They were so funny together, they are complete opposites

We had to say goodbye to Mary Susan! :( She is off to St. Louis. We'll miss you girl!
The Perry's and Kella's came to stay for Lyla Blagg's shower. We had a ball!

Fun night out last weekend to hear Emily Mesko play. Jack and Sawyer stayed home with a babysitter, it was such a great night!

One of our first good family pics. The Yount's babysat last week so Andrew and I could go on a fun date.

Andrew and I celebrated our 4 year anniversary and stayed the night at the Capital hotel in Little Rock. My mom kept Sawyer and Andrew and I had such a fun night celebrating our marriage. I am more in love with him now than I was 10 years ago when we met.

the boy likes the car now! Yay!! Victory!!

Hangin out with the grown ups!

Last night we had a fun night over at our house with some of our closest friends. We had the ultimate summer meal, drank wine, talked outside, shot off some fireworks, and passed around Sawyer bear.

Something funny we are noticing about Sawyer is that he acts shy around new people and new things. Anytime we have groups over to our house or we go to new places he gets very serious and mellow. With Andrew and I he laughs, smiles all the time, coos and talks to us anytime we talk to him, but when he is around people he doesn't know he puts on his scowl face and just goes into this laid back state. It makes since because I was a pretty shy baby and toddler so we'll have to see how this will turn out as he gets older. He is such a sweet, cuddly and laid back boy. He may have not been all smiles for everyone last night but he sure was cuddly with whoever wanted to hold him.

How I am able to cook for 10 people... Thank you Baby Bjorn! Can you tell he likes it??

Sawyer's future best friend is in Mindy's tummy right now.. We can't wait to meet you Lila

Sawyer needs a tan!

Ladies man!! All the girls lovin on the babe

Love you girls!

OKay Rachel Berry.... We copied you!! I told Andrew that you cut Will's hair so he let me trim the old man mullet off Sawyer last night!

Our little family!

Sawyer hanging with the grown ups! He was entertained all night

So glad that Leah was in town! He loves snugglin with his Aunt eah

3 months!!

It is so hard to believe that my baby boy is already 3 months old! When I put him in bed with me this morning like I do every morning I couldn't stop staring at him wishing that time could just stand still. Of course I can't wait for all the fun things to come as he grows up but I can't help but be somewhat sad to think he won't be like this forever.

I love that he cuddles with me anytime I want him to. That he'll take naps with me when I am too tired to play. I love that he's a mama's boy and will squirm in other people's arms but settle right in when I take him. I love that he loves to be held, some people think I hold him too much, but I just can't help it! In a few short months all I am going to be doing is chasing him around the house begging him for hugs, I'm definately taking advantage of holding him as much as I can before he's too busy for me. I love his sweet smiles and sweet giggles but I also love his serious scowl that he makes when he is overwhelmed or confused. I love that he sleeps through the night and that he takes the longest 3 to 4 hour nap every day, I'm always so ready for him to wake up by the time that nap is over. I get so excited when I hear him over the moniter and get to go get his sweet smiling face out of his crib. I love his sweet talk that I hear every time I put him on his changing table and the laughs, kicks, and coos that we get every time we put him in the tub. Even though its annoying that he doesn't enjoy the car I love that the minute I get back there with him he goes from screaming to giving me the biggest grin once he sees my face. I love his rubberband arms and his huge cheeks, can't get enough!!

Sawyer, we truly love EVERYTHING about you! You have such a sweet spirit and you have brought so much joy into our lives. I cherish my time at home with you and thank God every single day for your precious life.

3 Months old this day

hahahahaha.. I think this little dude may be a trouble maker one day, can you tell by his face??

Happy Father's Day!!

Obviously this is a day late but I haven't had a computer AGAIN!! I'm sending mine in for two weeks to get a replacement computer. So starting this week I'll be computerless!! But I couldn't send it off without writing about my precious husband and Sawyer's precious daddy!
Andrew was seriously born to be a daddy. When Sawyer was born I was really sick for a couple of days because of medicine they had to put me on for my blood pressure. I couldn't hold him, couldn't feed him, I could barely talk, it was terrible! But in the midst of my sadness and pain that day I remember one thing very vividly. I remember looking over at the sofa and seeing Andrew cuddled up with our son talking to him and kissing him. I fell so much more in love with Andrew that day seeing him with Sawyer. From the second I went into labor I had no doubts in my mind that he would be an amazing dad! He has been so selfless these last few months, always willing to do whatever he can to make my life easier. Thank you Andrew for EVERYTHING you do for us! I love you so much for how you love Sawyer and how you love me. I thank God for the man you are for us. Sawyer is one lucky boy to grow up with you as his dad!

Sawyer's all dressed up in his camo for Father's day

Andrew gives Sawyer a bath every night. He is such a sweet daddy!

SOOO BIG!!! BUT SOOO CUTE!!!

He is seriously getting huge! I go to the doctor on Monday for his 2 month check up (Even though he'll be 2 1/2 months old) and I'm a little worried at how much he weighs. I think he'll seriously be around 14 pounds! His cheeks are overtaking his body! I seriously can't kiss those cheeks enough though! He is absolutely precious and he is getting sweeter every day. He's sleeping great, obviously eating great, and is smiling and cooing like crazy! We are loving every day with this Big man! This morning has been ecspecially fun because he slept from 10 until 8:30! I woke up at 7:30 and literally sat around waiting for him to wake up. Best morning ever!
